I look to the ocean and I think about love.
The endless blue,
Where ochre sand meets ocean’s hue.
The water glistens,
Beaming a wide smile.
I think about the ocean’s lessons,
Each wave, a new weight with it
Buoyant
The rise and fall
Taking you higher and higher
I think about the gift of love.
I look to the shore,
How the waves kiss it, time and time again.
The shore brings willingness,
It remains calm, grounded.
Let go, surrender to the the tides.
The waves recede but they always return.
Like two halves, the ocean and the shore,
We are better together.
I think of unconditional love,
The wide expanse of water.
In every ripple, a lesson’s found.
I think about how to love well.
I look to the ocean, I think of peace.
Timeless.
A love like ours.
