DIFFERENT VIEWS, INTERPRETING LANDSCAPE
"Landscape becomes more than a view, a memory, a feeling, a trace. Moving between observation and abstraction. The artists draw on personal histories and remembered places to reimagine the land as something internal as well as external. These works invite the viewers to pause and reflect on how landscape is shaped by experience, emotion, and the act of looking itself." (words by Margaret Taylor)
Emotive Landscapes
My abstract landscape paintings try to unify the line between the sky and the land. They are responses to the emotions, solitude, hope and deep gratitude I find far from the harried city. I hope they show signs of peace and exhilaration and the spirit of the place.
