I Saw You As Yourself

An original mixed media oil painting on stretched canvas, sealed and ready to hang.

Dimensions: 69cm x 69cm

The duality of existence is reflected in our physical world - light and dark, the sun and the moon, and so on, but it also is the very nature of what it means to be human. As was written famously by Stevenson in Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, every human being has good and evil within them, but what’s important is how you behave and the decisions you make. Ultimately as with the natural world, it’s all about balance and this piece is a reminder that being human is complicated and something that we all live with - a side-effect, if you will, of the human condition.
